The City of Grande Prairie is conducting its bi-annual Resident Satisfaction Survey from May 13 to 31.

The Resident Satisfaction Survey provides an unbiased assessment of how satisfied residents are with municipal services. It helps the City understand residents' priorities and allows for tracking changes in community satisfaction over time.

"The Resident Satisfaction Survey plays a pivotal role in fostering engaging relationships with our residents, a primary focus for the Council," said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. "I encourage everyone who receives a call to complete the survey to do so, as it will provide us with valuable insights into our residents' priorities and satisfaction regarding City services."

About the Survey

Forum Research Inc. has been retained to complete the survey, which collects responses from 400 telephone interviews based on a random sampling across both cell and landlines to gather representative and statistically valid results.

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and includes questions related to satisfaction of current services, views on property taxes and allocations of resources, communication strategies and resident priorities.

If called, residents are encouraged to complete the phone survey and share their feedback so the project can gather strong responses to better support City decision-making. Any residents who are not called but would still like to participate can do so by completing the survey online starting May 15.

All responses are combined so no identifying information is included, and all responses remain anonymous.

The 2024 Resident Satisfaction survey will be reviewed against the historical data from previous surveys and other municipalities for longer-term planning and prioritizing. Results will be made publicly available following the conclusion of the survey.

The City of Grande Prairie thanks everyone for their participation and looks forward to incorporating the results into building an even brighter future for the City of Grande Prairie and everyone who calls it home.
