Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7817 Detroit Street

September 11, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7817 Detroit Street about 3:10 a.m. today (September 11).

The identity of the victim, 53, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Sharp and E. May reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the above address after the victim called 9-1-1 to report he had been shot. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

At this time, there is no known suspect or vehicle description.
