PSC Sets Local Public Hearing Schedule in Ameren Transmission of Illinois CCN Case pr 25 16

The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a Local Public Hearing in Albany, Mo., and a Virtual Public Hearing to receive public comment in a case filed by Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois (ATXI), which seeks a Commission order for a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) relating to Transmission Investments in Northwest and Northeast Missouri in File No. EA-2024-0302.

According to the application, ATXI requests to construct, install, own, operate, maintain, and otherwise control 44 miles of 345 kV transmission line, in two segments, in Worth, Gentry, and DeKalb counties; a new 345 kV substation named Denny in DeKalb County (the Fairport-Denny-Iowa/Missouri Border or FDIM Project); and 9 miles of 345 kV transmission line in Marion County between ATXI's existing Maywood Substation near Palmyra, Mo., and the Mississippi River Illinois/Missouri border that includes upgrades to the Maywood Substation (Maywood-Mississippi River Crossing or MMRX Project). ATXI also requests permission and authority to transfer an undivided 49% interest in the transmission facilities for the FDIM Project, excluding the land for the Denny Substation, to the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission.

The Public Service Commission will hold an in-person Local Public Hearing and Virtual Local Public Hearing:

Dec. 9 - Local Public Hearing starts at 6 p.m. The hearing will be held at the Hundley-Whaley Extension and Education Center, 1109 South Birch, Albany, Mo.
Dec. 10 - A Virtual Local Public Hearing begins at Noon, via the internet-based video and teleconferencing service, WebEx.
To attend the virtual local public hearing by telephone, at the time of the hearing call toll free 1-650-479-3207, listen to the prompt and enter the meeting number/access code 2635 928 5519, followed by # (pound/hashtag symbol). If prompted for a password, enter 0302. To attend the virtual local public hearing by video/internet, visit the website at www.webex.com or download the Cisco WebEx Meetings application. At hearing time, enter the meeting number/access code 2635 928 5519 and password 0302.

The in-person local public hearing will be held in a facility that meets the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
