Bank of Ireland and Equinti scoop multiple awards for their people team’s impact on the world of work

The winnersofthe CIPD People Management Awards 2024havebeen announced, with people teams from across the UK, Ireland and Middle East impressing judges with their impact on work and working lives.

A judging panel of 69 leadersfrom across the people profession scrutinised hundreds ofentriesacross 22 categories, reflectingthe range of issuesimpacting the people profession today. Each entry was judged for the teams' ability to demonstrate how they have embedded the professional values of the CIPD Profession Mapin their work.

The biggest winners at this year's awards were Equinity, who scooped three awards, and Bank of Ireland,who took home two awards. Equinity, a financial services provider, won 'Best health and wellbeing initiative - private sector', 'Best HR/ L&D & OD team of the year - private sector' and 'Best people analytics initiative'.

"Equinti demonstrated a clear example of a strategic people analytics journey with a strong business case behind it. The team took a scientific approach to drive meaningful impact across the business, and innovated along the way."

Bank of Irelandwon 'Best change management initiative' and 'Best digital/technology initiative in HR/L&D'.

"Bank of Ireland's change management initiative demonstrated how they faced into a perennial challenge for organisations with bravery, resulting in a significant impact for their business and colleagues, and a leading example of performance management."

The calibre of work the judges reviewed was so strong this year that, alongside the 22 winning entries, a further 11 entries were'Highly commended'. Dubai Police Headquarters and npower Business Solutions both secured two of these accolades.
