Storm Debris Collection

The City's third-party vendor will begin storm debris collection on Tuesday, June 16. Residents are encouraged to have as much storm debris as possible curbside by Monday. Tomorrow, the city will provide more detailed information about collection zones.

What residents need to know now:

  • Crews will begin on Tuesday, June 16.
  • Crews will work in each zone from dawn to dusk.
  • Pending the amount of storm debris in each zone, crews could be in one zone longer than another.
  • The crews will arrive with equipment and machinery to remove heavy debris. It is imperative that residents do not park on the street during this time. Cars parked on the street will delay this process and could cause collection piles to be skipped.
  • All debris should be placed in the City right-of-way (areas between the curb and sidewalk).
    • Do not block sidewalks.
    • Do not place piles over water meters or near fire hydrants.
    • Do not place piles under low-hanging utility lines or tree canopies.
    • Do not place items in the street.
  • Regular trash, recycling, and bagged yard waste should only be placed curbside on your regular collection days. The debris collection vendor will not collect these items. Please ensure they're clearly separated.
  • Inclement weather could postpone work activities until the following day.

To ensure residents receive timely information, the city will provide daily updates on the status of collection efforts.
