Traffic Pattern Change - IA 27/58 and Ridgeway

Starting Friday, October 18, 2024, the Iowa DOT's contractor, PCI, will start the next phase of reconstruction work at the IA 27/58 and Ridgeway Avenue intersection. Work in this phase will include the reconstruction of the eastbound lanes of Ridgeway Avenue. For the contractor to start, head-to-head Ridgeway Avenue traffic will be shifted to the westbound lanes during this phase. The trail adjacent to the project along Ridgeway Avenue and the crossing of Ridgeway Avenue at IA 27/58 will remain closed due to the intersection work. The south side of the Nordic Drive and Ridgeway Avenue intersection will remain closed in this phase as crews work to rebuild the south half of the intersection. Those wishing to access the shopping center to the south must use the westerly driveway entrance at the Ridgeway Avenue roundabout. Below is a closure map for reference.

Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
