60-second Marquette on Dr. Chelsea Cook, assistant professor of biological sciences

60-second Marquette is a documentary video series from the Office of University Relations focused on interesting Marquette people and stories, told in 60 seconds or less. The latest video features Dr. Chelsea Cook, assistant professor of biological sciences in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences.

Cook researches honey bees as a way to better understand social behavior. Honey bees constantly interact with other bees and perform many collective behaviors, including foraging and thermoregulation. Through observation, her lab aims to explain why and how collective behavior occurs at every level; from the collective, to individual behavior, to the physiology and genetics of the individual.
