City of York Parks and Recreation is excited to introduce the inaugural City of York Esports Recreation League.
York City families are invited to participate in our first ever esports league as we host a variety of game titles. To get things started, for youth in grades 6th through 8th, we will offer a 2 vs 2 Fortnite League and a 1 vs 1 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate League. For anyone 18 years or older, we will offer a 4 vs 4 Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 League and a 1 vs 1 Madden 25 League.
There are a total of 8 spots available for each league with a registration fee of $25 for the solo leagues, and $50 for the team-based leagues. All games will be played inside of the newly renovated Gaming Room inside of the Voni Grimes Gym. All youth league games will be on Mondays, and adult league games will be on Wednesdays. The leagues are 8 weeks long, with a playoff and championship weekend happening in March. Registration is open now until December 20, 2025.
If you would like to register your team or become a sponsor for the league, please contact LaQuinn Thompson, Recreation Program Specialist, at [email protected] or via phone at 717-849-2276.
