Update on the Point Fire near Lake Sonoma
There are no fires currently burning in the City of Santa Rosa, but we are aware of the Point Fire near Lake Sonoma. Smoke continues to impact the area. The Santa Rosa Fire Department has firefighters assisting CalFire near Lake Sonoma: two structure engines, two wildland engines, one water tender, and two overhead positions, including a strike team leader.

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS MONDAY
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the North Bay interior mountains of East Sonoma County tomorrow, Mon., June 17, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Gusty northerly winds to 30 mph combined with afternoon relative humidity as low as 10 percent will contribute to elevated fire weather concerns, particularly for elevations above 1,000 feet. Timber and large fuels still retain some moisture, but grasses and shrubbery are very dry, contributing to several small grass fires around the region over the past couple of weeks.
