Applications for SOM’s 2025 Winter Shadowship Now Open

Applications are now open for the next edition of SOM's annual Winter Shadowship, taking place January 13-17, 2025. This week-long program offers an immersive professional experience, mentorship, and guidance to students planning careers in architecture, engineering, urban planning, graphic design, or interior design and who share a passion for advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in the AEC industry.

As an undergraduate or graduate student in architecture, engineering, or a related design field, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business while gaining hands-on experiencing . Through a series of lectures and events, representatives from multiple cities, departments, and disciplines will share their experiences.

Sponsored by SOM's employee resource groups-Arquitectos, Asian Alliance, NOMA, Pride, and Women's Initiative-the program will be held in-person across our Chicago, Dubai, London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. studios. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, November 3.
