State Police arrest Clifton Park man for Assault

On October 11, 2024, State Police of Clifton Park arrested Malik L. Simms, 19, of Clifton Park, NY, for Assault in the third degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree and False Personation.

On October 11, 2024, at about 10:54 a.m. An individual suffering from multiple visible injuries came to SP Clifton Park, reporting an unknown man had just assaulted them. The investigation determined the victim was in the area of Maxwell Drive in Clifton Park, NY when they were allegedly approached by Simms, who is unknown to them. Simms reportedly struck and kicked the victim until they lost consciousness. The victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

Simms was found walking in the area of the incident and taken into custody. While being taken into custody, Simms resisted and then provided false identifying information. He was released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on October 24, 2024.
