Medical professionalism and a love of community – Visiting the Paediatric Clinic in Szeged

Dr. Tamás Sulyok, the President of Hungary, and his wife Zsuzsanna Nagy, visited the Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Department of the SZAKK Clinical Centre for Paediatrics and Child Health Care of the University of Szeged.

The Head of State and his wife were received by Professor Dr. László Rovó, Rector of the University of Szeged, Professor Dr. Ildikó Csóka, Director General of Strategy, and Dr. Csaba Bereczki, the Director of the Paediatric Centre.

The presidential couple met with the hospital's senior staff, and during their visit to the Paediatric Oncology Department, they met a team of doctors, nurses and psychologists who not only give hope to parents, but also help children to recover.

Dr. Tamás Sulyok and Zsuzsanna Nagy had the opportunity to witness the superhuman struggle that the hospital's staff and its young patients undertake together for recovery and life.

The Head of State and his wife delighted the children and the nurses with personalised gifts.
