PHILADELPHIA, August 6, 2024 - Cozen O'Connor is pleased to announce that Aaron Krauss, Brett Watson, and Josephine Bahn, members of the firm's Commercial Litigation Department, have authored chapters of the American Bar Association's latest book, Banking on It: The Ten Most Common Claims Involving Banks. Additionally, Brett served as editor of the publication.

This book provides an overview of the relevant area of the law and practical advice on the issues that usually arise. Topics covered include check claims, wire fraud, credit and debit card claims, lender claims, commercial real estate loan defaults, employment claims, safe deposit box claims, fiduciary claims, third-party discovery, and class actions.

Aaron is a business litigator with over 30 years of experience representing corporations and individuals in business disputes. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, health, employment, and intellectual property litigation. A veteran trial lawyer, Aaron has won numerous verdicts in high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels. Aaron has held various leadership roles within the American Bar Association (ABA). He is currently a member of the ABA Book Publishing Board and served previously as chair of the Health Law Committee and vice chair of the Business Torts Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section.

For more than two decades, top banks, credit card issuers, and financial institutions across the United States have called upon Brett to litigate issues relating to the full spectrum of their retail financial products. Clients appreciate his vast experience in both the legal and business side of their operations and his tactical and holistic approach to litigation. Jo focuses her practice on commercial litigation and construction law. She counsels real estate developers, project owners, contractors, and design professionals in all phases of the construction process. Jo's practice includes public and private projects as well as bid protests throughout the United States. She also regularly handles claims related to mechanics' liens on projects. Jo has wide-ranging experience litigating construction defect claims, including stucco and other water intrusion claims. She has litigated in a wide range of forums, including state, federal, and administrative forums, as well as various boards of contract appeals.
