Madison Square Garden and Disability Advocates Craft Disability Access Policy

New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI) have worked closely with Madison Square Garden (MSG) to develop a policyto enhance and ensure access to MSG for individuals with disabilities who use power-driven mobility devices. This new policy supplements and updates MSG's present policy, and is directed at ensuring that persons with mobility disabilities may attend events at MSG and use their devices in any area open to the public.

The new agreed-upon MSG policy complies with federal, state, and local public accommodation laws, and will permit access to all people with disabilities who utilize power-driven mobility devices, such as mobility scooters.

NYLPI has praised the new policy as a win-win for one of the most prominent New York City event spaces and for the disability community.
