New Marauders on Campus

Classes at Millersville University start on August 26, which means a new crop of Marauders will set foot on campus to begin their education journey at the 'Ville. In total, there are approximately 7,000 students at MU this fall. Take a closer look at who the new undergraduate students are, where they come from, what they're studying and more.

Who are our first-year students?

  • There are nearly 1,250 first-year students and about 300 transfer students.
  • About 75% will live on campus and the remaining 25% will commute.
  • Almost 400 self-identified as first-generation students, which means they will be the first person in their families to earn a degree.
  • Over 120 of these students are recruited athletes.
  • These incoming students have an average GPA of 3.48.

Where are they from?

  • The International Programs and Services Office expects about 60 new international students coming to MU from across the globe from 22 different countries, including Bahrin and United Arab Emirates to Niger and more.
  • Our stateside students will come to campus from 17 different states, with most hailing from Pennsylvania.

What are they majoring in?

The top six majors for these incoming students are:

  1. Early Childhood Education (Pre-K - Grade 4)
  2. Undecided
  3. Psychology
  4. Business Administration - General Business
  5. Computer Science
  6. Biology - Pre-Medical Professions
