Bipartisan infrastructure law led by Sinema and shaped by Kelly invests over $5 million in key infrastructure improvements to enhance safety in Arizona

WASHINGTON - $5,054,410 from the bipartisan Infrastructure Investments and Jobs law led by Senator Kyrsten Sinema and shaped by Senator Mark Kelly will be invested in Arizona projects aimed at strengthening roadway, pedestrian, and cyclist safety.

The $5,054,410 investment was allocated through the Safe Streets and Roads for All Program - created by Sinema and Kelly's bipartisan infrastructure law - which supports projects driven at the local level to improve safety and help prevent deaths and serious injuries on roadways.

"Thanks to our bipartisan infrastructure law, we're investing over $5 million to make our roads safer for Arizona pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists," said Sinema, co-author and lead negotiator of the bipartisan infrastructure law.

"This investment will save lives and improve safety for everyone on Arizona roads-whether they're walking, biking, or driving," said Kelly. "By securing these resources through our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we're making critical improvements that will protect Arizonans and strengthen our communities."

Sinema led bipartisan Senate negotiations with Republican Senator Rob Portman of Ohio that included Senator Kelly and senators from both parties.

The bipartisan infrastructure law was supported by groups including The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Business Roundtable, The National Association of Manufacturers, The AFL-CIO, The National Retail Federation, The Bipartisan Policy Center, North America's Building Trades Unions, the Outdoor Industry Association, The American Hotel and Lodging Association, The National Education Association, as well as hundreds of mayors across all 50 states.
