Naptown AntiDope Movement (NAM) to Host Community Engagement Session on Substance Use Awareness and Overdose Response Education on Oct. 23

ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 8, 2024) - The City of Annapolis invites to public to attend a special Community Engagement Listening Session presented by the Naptown AntiDope Movement (NAM), an initiative of the Mayor's office. The Listening Session will feature overdose response education and substance use awareness focused on overdose prevention, response, and awareness.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23 at the Roger "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center, 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis, MD 21403.

This event aims to provide crucial education and resources on substance use disorders, equipping participants with the knowledge to prevent and respond to overdoses. Free Narcan (naloxone) will be available to attendees, along with in-person education on how to administer Narcan to save lives.

The event is free and open to all, with complimentary food and refreshments provided. Community resource vendors will be on hand to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide valuable resources for those impacted by substance use.
