Seidel Launches UW Budget and Enrollment Working Groups

President Ed Seidel has launched two interrelated working groups to advance the University of Wyoming toward achieving the objectives of its 2023+ Strategic Plan.

The Budget Model Review Working Group has been charged with developing a universitywide budget model that is more responsive to today's dynamic higher education environment and encourages sustainable growth. No changes to the current budget model will occur before fiscal year 2027.

As a continuation of the strategic enrollment planning process conducted last year, the Strategic Enrollment Management Working Group will develop and implement strategies that better serve the evolving needs of students and grow enrollment in ways that maintain an undergraduate experience of the highest quality.

Both working groups, composed of faculty, staff and students, will seek campus feedback on their plans and will form subcommittees, as appropriate, throughout the coming academic year.

"The formation of these working groups is a great step forward in UW's efforts to enhance our service to our students and the state of Wyoming," Seidel says. "Enrollment and budget go hand in hand, and I am confident that these groups will help us arrive at a stronger, more resilient UW."
