Dentsply Sirona Appoints Xavier Carro Fernandez as Group Vice President Commercial EMEA

Dentsply Sirona is pleased to announce that Xavier Carro Fernandez, has been appointed as Group Vice President Commercial EMEA, effective June 1, 2024. Xavier joined Dentsply Sirona in September 2017 as Commercial Lead for Dentsply Sirona Implants Iberia. Since July of 2018, he worked as Vice President and General Manager of Dentsply Sirona Iberia where he was responsible for the strategic direction and operational leadership of the Iberia region.

Charlotte, N.C. Xavier Carro Fernandez brings over thirty years of experience leading teams in sales, marketing, and general management across diverse industries. Prior to joining Dentsply Sirona, he served as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Klockner, and as Sales Manager leading sales teams in several countries at both Vidrala and Habitat. Xavier is an economist by training who complemented his education at ESADE Business School with a Master's in Marketing and Sales and later a Postgraduate in General Management at IESES Business School.

In addition to his previous role at Dentsply Sirona serving as VP and General Manager of Iberia, Xavier led the SureSmile® clear aligner business in EMEA. In both roles, he led teams that achieved well above-market growth. His wealth of knowledge, and expertise as well as his deep understanding of Dentsply Sirona and its customers will enable a high level of continuity in driving the company's mission and values forward and to further enhance its position as the world's largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies.

Xavier Carro Fernandez succeeds Gerry Campbell, Group Vice President Commercial EMEA, who has dedicated close to twenty years of service to Dentsply Sirona. Gerry will continue on a part-time basis until his retirement in June 2025.
