Here's how Amazon's Thank My Driver feature works—and how you can show appreciation all year long
Promotion update:You've blown us away! We reached 2 million thank-yous after six days this year, and we're so thankful for the drivers who are delighting customers during the holidays. Remember to keep thanking your drivers, as we will continue to spread joy with drivers through the rest of the month. Additional awards include $100 each for the 1,000 most-thanked drivers each day through the rest of December; $10,000 for the seven top-thanked drivers each week until the end of December; and $25,000 plus an additional $25,000, paid by Amazon, to the charity of choice for the top seven thanked drivers across the full promotional period (December 4 through December 31).
Starting December 4, when a customer says, "Alexa, thank my driver," from an Alexa-enabled device or searches "thank my driver" on Amazon (app or web), the driver who completed their most recent delivery will be notified of the customer's appreciation. With each of the first 2 million thank-yous, drivers will also receive $5 at no cost to the customer.

We've heard many examples of this through social media, emails, phone calls, and when talking with friends and family. That's why we developed the Thank My Driver feature that allows customers to directly thank drivers for making their deliveries. This feature is available to U.S. customers with an Alexa-enabled device (Echo, Echo Show), the Alexa app or an Amazon account (web and app), making it easy to thank drivers in the U.S. anywhere.
How do I thank my driver with Thank My Driver?
Any time a customer says, "Alexa, thank my driver," on an Alexa-enabled device or searches "thank my driver" on Amazon (web or mobile app), the driver who completed their most recent delivery will be notified of the customer's appreciation. The first 2 million thank-yous given will include $5 to the delivery driver at no cost to the customer. After that, customers can continue to thank their driver via the feature all year round, and drivers are able to see the number of times they are thanked within their app.
The feature was first introduced during the holidays in 2022, and since then, Amazon customers have thanked their delivery drivers more than 40 million times.

What drivers qualify?
Only U.S. delivery drivers delivering Amazon packages (inclusive of Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Delivery Associates (DAs), Amazon Flex delivery partners, and Hub Delivery Associates) are eligible for a thank-you through this program.
Throughout the years, Amazon has grown and invested in its last-mile delivery network, Amazon Logistics, to create opportunities for hands-on entrepreneurs wanting to start and grow a business, as well as independent contractors interested in being their own boss and supplementing their income.
