What Will the Trump Vance Ticket Sell Off to Their Ultra Wealthy Big Oil and Gas Megadonors Next? Arrow

As JD Vance fundraises with Big Oil megadonors in Oklahoma today, DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:

"Donald Trump has already made it clear he's bought and for by Big Oil and Gas, and now JD Vance is cozying up to the same special interest backers while putting the ultra-wealthy over hardworking Americans. Vance is all-in on Donald Trump's reckless Project 2025 agenda that would increase costs for the working families, risk supercharging inflation, and help billionaires to pay less in taxes than the middle-class Americans. The Trump-Vance ticket is ready to sell out to billionaires and rig the economy for the super-rich while leaving hardworking Americans behind - but voters aren't buying it."

TODAY: JD Vance is fundraising for more Big Oil and Gas money as the Trump-Vance campaign continues to look for $1 billionfrom Big Oil executives while promising to pursue an extreme MAGA agenda that puts billionaires ahead of hardworking Americans.

Harold Hamm, one of the hosts of Vance's Oklahoma City fundraiser today, organized the meeting where Trump asked Big Oil and Gas donors for $1 billion to his campaign while promising to deregulate their industry if elected.

Other Big Oil donors hosting today's fundraiser include Jeff McDougall, Larry Nichols, and Joe and Kelly Craft.

REMINDER: Trump has already sold out hardworking Americans for wealthy Big Oil and Gas donors.

"Trump's comments reveal how he is wooing potential donors with his long-standing hostility to wind farms and pledges to halt this form of renewable energy if he returns to office. His stance poses a potential threat to one of the linchpins of America's clean-energy transition, according to more than a dozen Trump allies, energy experts and offshore wind industry officials."

Trump and Vance are running on an extreme and unpopular Project 2025 agenda that would once again rig the economy for the ultra-wealthy while leaving the middle class behind and risks supercharging inflation.

Vance has repeatedly opposed legislation that protects unions, standing firmly against working people.

Politico: "Vance has consistently opposed the PRO Act, the 'holy grail of pro-union labor reform' that organized labor and its allies on the Hill have been fighting for over two years to get passed. … Vance's skepticism of the PRO Act is part of a more fundamental skepticism that he harbors toward organized labor."

Fast Company: "Vance also voted in favor of a resolution to strike down the NLRB's updated joint-employer rule, which would have given workers more leverage when organizing at companies-like Amazon-that rely heavily on third-party contractors, by forcing both employers to participate in labor negotiations."
