LC 2nd Annual Summerfest Draws More than 1200

GODFREY - Lewis and Clark Community College's second annual Summerfest took place July 11 on the Godfrey campus.

More than 1,200 people braved the heat and were rewarded with all sorts of free activities - including inflatables, face painting, a coloring station, games and a petting zoo, among others - and lots of giveaways.

Local vendors, campus and community resources, and food trucks kept the crowd occupied and fed during the event, which wrapped with a free encore performance of the Alton Municipal Band's Children's Concert.
