I 8/I 805 Connector Closed Saturday, 6/29

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans maintenance crews will close the eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) connector to northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) on Saturday from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. for bridge work.

Motorists will detour to northbound Interstate 15 (I-15), exit onto westbound Friars Road to the southbound I-15 on-ramp, connect to westbound I-8, and then connect to northbound I-805.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
