TheLA Timespicks are yet another reminder of how vibrant and dynamic the city's dining scene is and how it continues to push the envelope every year.

The one-of-a-kind Korean-Jewish restaurant Yangban Societymade it onto the LA Timeslist and was noted for its congee pot pie with roasted abalone and biscuits topped in a curry gravy. Chefs Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis's casual take on Middle Eastern food at Saffy's was celebrated with nods to their grilled lobster with green harissa, and skewered lamb.
