New cabinet members announced for Horsham District Council

As a result of Cllr John Milne winning the parliamentary election for the Horsham constituency on 4 July, he has resigned from his former positions as Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Planning and Infrastructure at Horsham District Council.

Leader of the Council Cllr Martin Boffey has made the following new appointments:
Deputy Leader will be Cllr Mark Baynham, who will also continue in his role as Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources.

Cabinet Member for Planning and Infrastructure will be Cllr Ruth Fletcher and Cllr Joanne Knowles will continue as Deputy Cabinet Member for Local Economy and Place until further notice.

Commenting on the appointments Cllr Boffey said: "My heartfelt congratulations go out to John Milne on his election as Member of Parliament for Horsham - a truly historic achievement.

"John has been an excellent and dependable Deputy Leader and a first-class Cabinet Member, fulfilling one of the most challenging roles in local government with distinction.

I look forward to working with Cllr Baynham and Cllr Fletcher as they serve in their new senior roles within the Council.
