Updated: Upcoming Hesperian Boulevard closure—extended into Monday, July 15

Update as of Monday, July 15:

Crews have been working over the weekend to address the sewer repairs on Hesperian Blvd just south of Skywest Drive. While significant progress has been made, the closure is scheduled to extend into later today, Monday, July 15. Drivers should expect continued delays and should avoid traveling through the area if possible.

Wednesday, July 10:

Southbound Hesperian Boulevard will be closed from A Street to Winton Avenue for critical sewer repairs from about 11 p.m. Friday, July 12, through approximately 6 a.m. Monday, July 15.

Southbound drivers planning to travel through the area are advised to use I-880 during the closure period. Southbound access to and from businesses along Hesperian Boulevard will be limited via Skywest Drive.

Residents seeking to access the adjacent Longwood neighborhood should use local streets connecting to A Street and Winton Avenue.

Traffic on northbound Hesperian Boulevard will be unaffected through the duration of the project.

Additional announcements will be forthcoming if the closure period needs to be extended.
