NATCA FacReps Energize Southern Region at Atlanta Meeting

NATCA leaders from Kentucky to Puerto Rico gathered in Atlanta for a NATCA Southern Region (NSO) three-day meeting held July 8-10. The meeting brought together more than 90 FacReps from across the region, providing a valuable opportunity to connect over shared experiences and issues.

Hosted by NSO Regional Vice President (RVP) Dan McCabe, the meeting aimed to strengthen regional unity and offer updates on national matters, emphasizing the importance of fostering collaboration and learning from the Union's history.

NATCA President Rich Santa and Executive Vice President Andrew LeBovidge provided insights into national initiatives and strategies. Contributions from the Disaster Response Committee (DRC) and Air Traffic Safety Action Program (ATSAP) underscored NATCA's proactive approach to supporting its members and maintaining safety.

The participation of Rolf Densing, Director of Operations at the European Space Agency, offered an international perspective on space operations. and FAA's Southern Regional Aerospace Medicine Branch representative, Arnold A. Angelici, M.D., M.S., talked to the FacReps about overseeing and ensuring the health and medical readiness of aviation professionals.

The meeting's agenda also featured presentations from NATCA Benefits, the National Training Committee, Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Committee, National Safety Committee, National Program Management Office (PMO) Article 114 Representative Dan Hamilton, Collaboration Facilitators, Local MOU Negotiations, and NATCA's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) Committee.
