Effective Dec. 22, 2024, Jason Hermes will be interim assistant vice president for divisional operations, the Division of Student of Affairs and Enrollment Management announced. Hermes will assume the duties of Associate Vice President Lynn Humphrey, who is retiring on Dec. 23 after more than 30 years of dedicated service to Idaho public education and Boise State University.
Hermes, currently the director of Campus Recreation, brings extensive leadership experience in strategic planning, financial management and organizational development. At Boise State, he has successfully managed multi-million-dollar budgets, overseen major capital projects and led initiatives that align student affairs with institutional goals.
"Jason brings a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience - but most of all, he is dependable, relentless and driven to achieve results," said Jeremiah Shinn, vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
A celebration of Humphrey's career and contributions is planned for spring 2025.
