December 13, 2024 - The City of St. Petersburg confirms that the restoration of the northbound lanes of 66th St. N between Tyrone Blvd. and 26th Ave. N will be completed before Saturday morning. Additionally, all southbound lanes of 66th St. N are now open.
This follows a water main break on Wednesday, December 11, that caused the temporary closure of all northbound lanes of 66th St. N. Crews have been working around the clock to repair the 8-inch water main and restore normal traffic patterns.
Traffic Impact:
All northbound lanes of 66th St. N remain closed at this time, but crews are actively working to reopen them by early Saturday morning.
All southbound lanes of 66th St. N are now open.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes, as the area continues to experience heavy traffic and detours.
