Appeal to find 12-year-old girl missing from Westmead

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Westmead.

Sophie Shi, aged 12, was last seen at a home on Central Avenue at Westmead about 4.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 16 July 2024).

When she was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command were notified about 9.20pm and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Sophie's welfare due to her age.

She is described as being of Asian/Caucasian appearance, 155cm tall with a slim build, dark brown shoulder-length hair and dark eyes.

When last seen she was wearing a black zip-up jumper, black pants and dark grey sneakers with blue trim.

Sophie is known to frequent the Parramatta area.
