INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS

Resident Participation Services, PLLC ("RPS") is holding election informational meetings for residents and candidates. Come to the informational meeting scheduled for your property to find out more about the election process, how to run for office, and how to become a polling site monitor. Below is the schedule for informational meetings at each property. For residents who can't attend the regularly scheduled meeting, an additional meeting open to DCHA residents from all properties is scheduled to take place at Sibley Plaza, 1140 North Capitol St, NW at 6pm on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Residents requiring ASL interpretation or translation services for their property's informational meeting must notify RPS no later than 72 hours before their informational meeting via (202) 596-2675 or [email protected].

SCHEDULE FOR INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS

CANDIDATE FORUMS

Candidate forums will take place at properties where more than one candidate is running for the same office so that the candidates may discuss their views and answer questions from the residents at their property.

Candidate forums will be scheduled for the week of December 2nd - 6th, 2024 and notices will be posted no later than November 27, 2024.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS FOR VOTING

Any resident who is eligible to vote but needs a language translation, an American Sign Language interpreter, or is unable to get to the polling site on their Election Day due to any documented health/disability reason will be given a special accommodation upon advance request to RPS.

If you or any other residents you know need special accommodations in order to vote, please inform RPS no later than December 5, 2024. RPS staff will visit residents who have properly requested for special accommodations before the polls open on Election Day and allow them to vote in their presence.

VOTING REQUIREMENTS

In order to be eligible to vote residents must have a valid ID, be at least 18 years old, and on the lease.

ELECTION DATES AND LOCATIONS

Elections for each property will be held on either December 12th or 13th, 2024. Please see the schedule below for each property's election date.

Polling sites will be open between the hours of 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Residents must vote only at the polling site where they live. Residents who attempt to vote at a property other than where they live will be directed to their home property to cast their ballots.
