Kellanova Earns Top Score on Disability Equality Index & Recognized as a 'Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion'

By: Sam Thomas Berry Global VP, Talent & Chief Diversity Officer

Kellanova is proud to be named a "Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion" by achieving a top score on the Disability Equality Index from Disability:IN.

This recognition underscores our dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace environment where every individual feels valued and respected. This achievement is particularly meaningful as it coincides with Disability Pride Month and the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We are committed to continually assessing and improving our practices to ensure that all employees, regardless of their abilities, have the opportunity to thrive. Our Disability Equality Index score is a benchmark, not a finish line, and we will continue to innovate and advocate for a more inclusive workplace.

The Disability Equality Index serves as a comprehensive benchmarking tool for evaluating disability workplace inclusion among Fortune 1000 companies worldwide. The Index has become a standard measure for assessing various aspects of disability inclusion within businesses.

At Kellanova, our commitment to disability inclusion extends beyond achieving high scores on the Disability Equality Index, and we recognize that it requires sustained effort and engagement. The Kapable BERG (Business Employee Resource Group) plays a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully. Recently, representatives from Kellanova attended the Disability conference in Las Vegas, joining professionals with disabilities, activists, and allies from around the globe to advocate for effective change regarding disability issues and accessibility.

Throughout this month, Kapable has led initiatives within Kellanova to enhance awareness and promote understanding of disability issues within our organization.

Thanks to Kapable for creating a place at the table this month and all year round for people impacted by disabilities.
