The City of Birmingham offices closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day holiday

Birmingham, AL - In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the City of Birmingham offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 with the exception of police, fire, and 911.

Households typically receiving garbage pickup on Monday will be serviced on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Households who are typically serviced on Tuesday will receive garbage pickup on Wednesday, Sept. 4. All other days will run as regularly scheduled.

Due to the makeup schedule, there will be no curbside recycling pickup that week. The recycling schedule will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Wednesday, Sept. 18. Recycling pickup will return to a first and third Wednesday schedule in October.
