Farm Philly works with USDA to promote equality in urban agriculture at northeast regional meeting

The City hosted the (USDA) Regional Equity Convening: Northeast on July 18, 2024. It was held at Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram's Garden. The conference emphasized the importance of inclusivity and equity in urban agriculture.

Officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and community members discussed:

  • Food and nutrition security.
  • Urban agriculture education.
  • Youth-centered leadership in agriculture.
