LMU Welcomes New Trustees and Regents

LOS ANGELES - Loyola Marymount University welcomes 13 new members to its Board of Trustees and Board of Regents, embracing their leadership experience and diverse backgrounds to support LMU's mission and commitment to academic excellence.

These new members will guide the university through the boldest comprehensive fundraising campaign to date, and advance strategic plan initiatives to dismantle racism and improve diversity; advance innovation; and elevate the university's reputation, renown, and impact. They are leaders in business and finance, entertainment, government relations, Jesuit education, law, philanthropy, and strategic communications.

Our new members are mission-driven leaders, inspiring and emboldening our community with their cross-sector expertise and strategic vision," said LMU President Timothy Law Snyder, Ph.D. "Their commitment to LMU is instrumental to the university's continuing evolution as we ignite a brighter world."

The four new members of the Board of Trustees and nine new members of the Board of Regents are:

TRUSTEES

Ginni Dreier '69 is a philanthropist who volunteers her time and contributes to numerous organizations, including the Santa Barbara Police Activities League, Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara, the Teddy Bear Foundation, and Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Dreier has also served on the boards of directors for the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Restless Leg Syndrome Foundation, and the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation. She is a former LMU trustee and a founding member of LMU's Women's Leadership Council. A well-known advocate for children, animals, education, and the arts, Dreier is originally from San Antonio, Texas, spent her childhood and teen years in Manhattan Beach, and has been a Santa Barbara resident for more than 20 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and an honorary doctorate degree from LMU.

Robert C. Klausner '93 is the chief operating officer at Capital Group. He oversees a broad set of global operations responsibilities focused on helping Capital deliver superior long-term investment results, provide exceptional client experiences and expand Capital's growth to new markets and investors. Klausner also serves on the Capital Group Management Committee. He has 30 years of industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 13 years. Prior to joining Capital, he worked as a senior partner at Accenture. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from LMU.

Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, S.J., is dean of the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. He joined the Society of Jesus in 1986, was ordained in 1998, and from 2009 to 2014 served as the provincial superior of the Jesuits in the Eastern Africa Province. He was president of the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar from 2017 to 2023. He has taught theology and religious studies at Hekima University College in Keyna, St. Augustine College of South Africa, Marquette University, and Boston College. A prolific author, Father Orobator's works include "The Pope and the Pandemic: Lessons in Leadership in a Time of Crisis," which was recognized by the Catholic Media Association. He earned a doctorate in theology and religious studies from the University of Leeds in England; a bachelor's in philosophy from Institut Saint Pierre Canisius in Kinshasa, DR Congo; a bachelor's in theology from Hekima College, Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya; and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL) from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, California.

Marty Willhite, J.D. '97 is a business executive and lawyer with interdisciplinary experience in the media, entertainment, finance, consumer, insurance, and power generation industries. He serves as the vice chairman of Tulco LLC, a firm focused on applying technological solutions to under-innovated industry segments. He was chief operating officer and general counsel at Legendary Entertainment, and a partner at the law firm Munger, Tolles & Olson. Willhite is a member of the board of directors of FIGS Inc. (NYSE: FIGS), serving as chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee. He has been on The Hollywood Reporter's Power Lawyers list of the 100 most influential lawyers in the media industry, and was named "General Counsel of the Year" by the Los Angeles Business Journal. Willhite earned a bachelor's in philosophy from Brigham Young University, and a J.D. from LMU Loyola Law School, where he has taught courses on media, entertainment, technology, and mergers and acquisitions.

REGENTS

Emma J. Carrasco '82 is the senior vice president of corporate affairs for the NBCUniversal News Group, which includes NBC News, NBC News Now, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, and NBCU Local. She served previously as the senior vice president and global engagement officer for the National Geographic Society, and the chief marketing officer and senior vice president of audience development for NPR. Carrasco has also contributed her skills to República/Havas, Nortel Networks, McDonald's, Univision, and Fleishman-Hillard. She serves on the board of Direct Relief, the fifth-largest charity in the United States, and previously served on the board of Toast Ale, a London-based social enterprise that tackles food waste by turning surplus bread into beer. Carrasco holds a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies from LMU.

Christopher Delja '02. MBA '06 is a technical architect at Salesforce, the leading provider of cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) software. He holds advanced certifications in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cloud computing and is a specialist in the development and delivery of business intelligence and AI solutions. He also served as a lead statistician at Blackbaud, where he developed predictive models to enhance the fundraising efforts of nonprofit organizations. Delja is an active volunteer at his LMU, his alma mater, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and an MBA.

Sandra Chiappari Fuchs '86 is an executive with more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, asset-based lending, and nonprofit organizations, holding positions at Bank of America Commercial Funding Division, CIT Group, and Ernst & Young. After retiring from a successful career to raise her family, she dedicated herself to community service. Fuchs has held executive board positions in various nonprofits, such as the Women's Council of Los Angeles for City of Hope, and the Beacon House Association of San Pedro, among others. Fuchs currently serves on the board of directors of Musical Miracles, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit focused on enhancing academic and personal success for underserved students through music and arts education - a reflection of her own passion for music. Originally from Argentina, Fuchs is a proud first-generation college graduate and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from LMU.

Ruben Gonzalez '98 is president of Gonzalez Strategic Affairs, a consulting firm specializing in government affairs, media relations, crisis communications, and political consulting across California. Prior to consulting, Gonzalez was senior vice president for public policy and political affairs at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. He managed the LA JOBS PAC, raising more than $4 million dollars for independent expenditure campaigns with a 90% win rate for endorsed races. He was also the senior vice president of external affairs at The Meruelo Group and deputy city controller under former Los Angeles City Controller Laura Chick. He has held positions with the South Coast Air Quality Management District's Governing Board, California Transit Association, former California Assemblyman Lou Correa, and former Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter. He holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and political science from LMU.

Tamika M. Lang '01 is the senior manager for Boeing Government Operations in California and leads the company's government relations and community affairs work, supporting the business of more than 13,000 aerospace and defense employees statewide. Before this role, Lang led Boeing's philanthropic and corporate citizenship efforts across the Southwest region, with a focus on preK-12 education and workforce pipeline strategies, racial equity and inclusion, support for veterans and military-connected families, and the environment. She participated in Leadership Southern California and Leadership Long Beach. Lang earned her master's degree in public policy at USC as a Housing and Urban Development Community Development Fellow, and a bachelor's degree in English from LMU.

Diana Loffarelli Montes '78 is an experienced decision-maker, project manager, business growth consultant, marketing designer, curriculum developer, public speaker, and training instructor. Her career combines more than 36 years with American Honda Motor Company Inc., and eight years prior with the Los Angeles Times. Her philanthropic endeavors include serving as an executive board member for the Jay Nolan Community Services Inc., and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, Shriners Children's Hospital, and The Help Group, a nonprofit that serves children and young adults with special needs. Montes holds a bachelor's degree in communication arts from LMU.

Anthony J. Napolitano '97, J.D '03 is a senior counsel at Buchalter, specializing in representing financial institutions, creditor committees, debtors, lessors, and unsecured creditors in corporate restructuring, finance, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and litigation matters. With experience across the commercial real estate, retail, financial services, manufacturing, technology, energy, hospitality, and transportation industries, Napolitano provides legal counsel to executive andseniormanagement as well as in-house counsel. As an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant, he has a comprehensive understanding of the legal, financial, and operational challenges his clients face. Napolitano earned his J.D. from LMU Loyola Law School and holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a bachelor's degree in economics from LMU.

Katherine Hennigan Ohanesian '04 is the co-founder of ColLAborate, a woman-founded strategic communications, community outreach and government relations firm. She is a senior vice president at its parent company, Southwest Strategies, where she helps businesses navigate regulatory hurdles and secure government approvals. Hennigan Ohanesian was appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to the Sybil Brand Commission for Institutional Inspections, where she is responsible for conducting inspections of county jail facilities and sheriff- and county-maintained adult courthouse lockups. She serves on the boards of numerous nonprofits, including the L.A. County Library Foundation, where she is currently the board chair, and 211LA County. She earned her B.A. in English from LMU and her master's in international public policy and management from USC.

Robert A. Page '93 is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He serves clients in a variety of industries with a specialized focus on asset and wealth management. Page has served multinational asset managers that manage registered investment companies (including exchange-traded funds), hedge funds, and private equity funds, including those funds with complex investments and capital structures. He has more than 30 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from LMU and an MBA from UCLA.
