NORTH PORT, FL - Join us on Oct. 19 at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park from 10 a.m. to noon for "Go Green with Parks," an enriching, family-friendly program focused on the importance and impact of native vegetation on our planet and our city. This free program requires no registration; all participants are required to come with a plant to swap. All are welcome to attend.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about native plant species through engaging activities designed to educate and inspire. "Go Green with Parks" is part of our ongoing efforts to protect, educate and restore the natural environment of North Port, with a special focus on community involvement.

A highlight of the program will be a plant swap, encouraging residents to bring their own plants or cuttings to exchange with others. It's a chance to discover new plants and share the beauty of native flora with fellow residents.

The Parks & Recreation team will lead various educational activities throughout the morning, making it a perfect outing for families to connect with nature and learn together.

If you have a question about "Go Green with Parks," please contact North Port Parks & Recreation Department at 941-429-PARK (7275), option 3.
