Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Symposium

Florida Memorial University has always been committed to fostering academic excellence and promoting experiential learning among its students.

In alignment with this vision, FMU held its inaugural Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program in the Center for Teaching & Leaning in the Nathan Collier Library on Friday.

With the theme, Research with Purpose: Transforming Ideas into Impact, the SURE scholars shared the listed research findings in the presence of their faculty mentors, marking a significant milestone in the university's efforts to enhance undergraduate research opportunities.

The SURE program is an eight-week immersive experiential learning initiative designed to deepen the understanding of students and their chosen fields to prepare them for future academic and professional endeavors by developing their research, analytical, and presentation skills. As the first of its kind at FMU, the SURE program represents a significant step towards institutionalizing undergraduate research.
