Namaste Thailand Quiz 2024

On 31 July 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy organized the 10^th edition of the Namaste Thailand Quiz 2024. The event was divided into two activities. The first one was the Namaste Thailand Quiz at the India Islamic Cultural Centre which brought together 240 students from 60 schools across Delhi NCR. The students demonstrated their extensive knowledge of Thailand's culture, history, and traditions. The second one was the #MeraThailand creative writing campaign was introduced this year as an extension to the quiz which provided an opportunity for students to exercise their creativity and imagination through writing, with pictures selected by the Embassy, about Thailand. The campaign received an impressive number of submissions, reflecting the students' keen interest in Thailand and Thai culture.

H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, in her opening remarks at the on-stage competition, shared an overview of the common linkages between Thailand and India. She also highlighted the young generations' pivotal role in nurturing and strengthening the economic and cultural ties between the two countries. The winners of both the Namaste Thailand Quiz 2024 and the #MeraThailand competition have been be rewarded with a trip to Bangkok, Thailand, sponsored by the Embassy and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, - a well-deserved recognition of their efforts. This trip will serve as a good opportunity for them to gain memorable experience about Thailand.

The Namaste Thailand Quiz provided a valuable opportunity for students to expand their understanding of Thailand while enjoying a friendly competition, and has fostered the growing friendship between Thailand and India and the chance to challenge the knowledge about Thailand among Indian young generations.
