Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs hosted a networking dinner for healthcare professionals from Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan

On 2 August 2024, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, hosted a networking dinner for healthcare professionals from Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

Representatives of the Thai side are from Samitivej and BNH, Phayathai and Paolo, and Thonburi groups of hospitals, as well as those of healthtech startups, had the opportunity to showcase their advancements in medical technology. Highlights include AI Nose, a breathalyzer designed for cancer detection, Inspectra, an AI assistant for detecting diseases from medical photographs, or Dietz, a telemedicine platform. As countries with rapidly expanding population, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are also promising markets for the Thai medical sector.

This event is a part of Thailand's proactive economic diplomacy efforts to raise awareness about Thailand's excellence in the medical and public health sectors in accordance to the government's "IGNITE Thailand" vision to promote concrete cooperation between Thailand and other countries, as well as to expand opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to enter international markets and transform Thailand into a medical and wellness hub.
