Pinnacle is One of America's Top Companies That Care

August 21, 2024

For the fifth time, Pinnacle Financial Partners is one of PEOPLE magazine's 100 Companies That Care. This honor comes jointly from Great Place to Work® and PEOPLE and puts the firm alongside much larger international brands like Cisco, Hilton and NVIDIA.

All honorees were chosen for the generosity of their company benefits and charitable work, as well as personal accounts of the impact these organizations have made on the lives of their employees.

"A significant portion of our mission as a company is to enrich our associates and make a significant positive impact on the communities we serve," said M. Terry Turner, Pinnacle's president and CEO. "We aim to engage every single associate so they all feel like they belong in the Pinnacle family. One way we do that is by supporting their passions and letting them help decide which community causes the bank supports. It has a multiplying effect of helping the people who work here feel seen and loved while also spreading our time, talent and treasure to worthy organizations that are making a difference."

Pinnacle reports much of its impact data in the firm's Corporate Social Responsibility Report, which details and quantifies ways the firm improves the lives of all its stakeholders, including associates, clients, shareholders and communities. Highlights from 2023 include:

  • 94% associate retention rate
  • $106 million paid to associates in equity compensation, incentives and commissions for commissioned associates
    • 100 percent of associates receive annual equity compensation, and 100 percent of non-commissioned associates participate in Pinnacle's cash incentive plan.
  • $62.4 million in associate benefits, including $15.3 million in matching 401(k) contributions
  • $1.74 billion committed to investments and lending for low- to moderate-income housing, small business and minority-owned institutions, as well as grants to nonprofits
  • 33,643 associate volunteer hours
  • 707 community participants in Pinnacle's Business Mastermind and Consumer Mastermind programs for financial education and business improvement

The PEOPLE Companies that Care List is based on more than 1.3 million employee survey responses and data from companies representing the experience of more than 8.2 million employees. Of those surveys, more than a million came from employees at companies eligible for this year's list, and these rankings are based on that feedback.

Companies also submit essays that are validated by employee survey data to give a complete picture of the way an organization cares for its employees, its community and the planet. To be considered for the list, companies must be Great Place To Work Certified™ and have at least 10 U.S. employees.

Pinnacle Financial Partners provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution.
