On August 29, 2024, members of the HIDTA Task Force, assisted by members of the DEA Providence District Office, arrested Franklin Valenzuela, age 29, of 13 Babcock Steet, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1.) Delivery of Fentanyl To An Undercover Police Officer; 2.) Delivery of Fentanyl To An Undercover Police Officer; 3.) Delivery of Fentanyl To An Undercover Police Officer; 4.) Delivery of Fentanyl To An Undercover Police Officer; 5.) Controlled Substance Conspiracy; 6.) Controlled Substance Conspiracy; 7.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver Over a Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 8.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1 oz to 1 kilo of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 9.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 10.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 11.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Scheduled II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; and 12.) Controlled Substance Conspiracy. Mr. Valenzuela was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace, ordered held without bail, and later transported to the ACI Intake Service Center pending his formal arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

Rhode Island, for the following: 1.) Delivery of Fentanyl To An Undercover Police Officer; 2.) Delivery of Fentanyl To An Undercover Police Officer; 3.) Controlled Substance Conspiracy; 4.) Controlled Substance Conspiracy; 5.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver Over a Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 6.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1 oz to 1 kilo of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 7.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 8.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 9.) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Scheduled II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; and 10.) Controlled Substance Conspiracy. Mr. Vargas was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace, ordered held without bail, and later transported to the ACI Intake Service Center pending his formal arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

On August 29, 2024, members of the HIDTA Task Force, assisted by members of the DEA Providence District Office, arrested Yeicoll Jimenez, age 23, of 221 Atwells Avenue, Unit 4, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than 10 Grams - Fentanyl. Mr. Jimenez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
