New—GenAI helps launch products faster (demo)

We are consistently delivering AI-powered features as part of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite quarterly updates. You can learn about many of them in this update from the spring of 2024. We've also recently shared demos of new GenAI functionality for ERP and EPM, HCM apps, and CX's service automation as well.
Now it's SCM's turn.
AI-generated item descriptions for product lifecycle management
This demo shows how GenAI can make it much easier to create high-quality item descriptions in Oracle Cloud Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). It features a product manager working to launch new gloves in the healthcare market. They need to provide the organization's sales and marketing teams with descriptive language for marketing collateral, web pages, sharing with distribution partners, and other go-to-market use cases. Why it matters
This demo shows how GenAI can help product managers and go-to-market teams do their jobs better. The AI-generated feature descriptions are based on product-attribute data stored in Oracle Product Information Management.
The end user is always in control, too. Gen AI output is subject to review and is editable; the product manager made subtle changes based on their experience and broader knowledge of the business. What may be less obvious is that the product descriptions are "market ready," meaning that they are grammatically correct and already include key terminology needed for search engine optimization.
Coming soon
This is just one of many AI-powered features available at no additional cost to Fusion Apps customers.
