NRCC Statement on KS-03 Primary Election

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released the following statement on Kansas' 3rd congressional district primary election:

"Congratulations to Dr. Prasanth Reddy on officially securing the primary election victory. As an immigrant, businessman, military officer and cancer physician, Dr. Reddy's unique life story will appeal to voters in ways unseen in previous years. We are eager to remind Kansans of Sharice Davids' extreme anti-border security record, antisemitic votes and Defund the Police advocacy."- NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar

Background:

• KS-03 has a PVI of R+1.
• Last week, the NRCC announced that Dr. Reddy is a part of the "Young Gun" program, which will bring additional resources and mentoriship to this race.
• In March, NRCC Chairman Hudson said of Davids: "She's one of the most extreme Democrats in Washington. She votes with Joe Biden over 90% of the time, she votes with The Squad over 87% of the time, she's someone who has a record of being for open borders, anti-police, anti-Israel."
  • Davids is anti-police. She is supported by Defund the Police groups.
  • Davids is anti-Israel. She voted against $14.3 billion in military aid to Israel and against $73 million toward Israel's Iron Dome.
  • Davids is anti-border security. She opposed hiring more Border Patrol, deploying technology to the southern border, and ending catch and release.
