NERC Welcomes Formation of Natural Gas Readiness Forum

NERC is encouraged by the creation of the Natural Gas Readiness Forum. This initiative could help enhance electric reliability by fostering better planning and operating coordination among the full natural gas value chain, grid operators, and regulators, particularly for winter preparations and operations. NERC commends the Gas-Electric Alignment for Reliability task force for creating this collaborative forum and offers full assistance in supporting the initiative. ​Electric reliability in the winter is highly dependent on appropriate coordination between the two sectors.​
