Operational Note: Ferry Services on Bluemull Sound – 22-28 May 2024

Due to crew sickness and no staff cover available, ferry services on Bluemull Sound between Yell, Unst and Fetlar will operate to alternative timetables from Wed 22nd May to Tue 28th May 2024.

On Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd, the day shift will operate to the Saturday timetable - bookings suspended. Normal service will resume from 1740 with bookings available but there will be no 2335 run from Hamarsness.

On Friday 24th and Saturday 25th, the first run will be from Gutcher at 0645 and then follow the Saturday timetable until 1205 from Belmont. On Friday, there will then be no runs until 1520 from Gutcher. On Saturday, there will then be no runs until the 1515 from Gutcher. The service will then follow the Saturday timetable till 2020 Belmont to Gutcher, which will be the last run. All bookings will be suspended.

On Sunday 26th, the first run will be from Gutcher at 0645 and then follow Sunday based timetable until 1205 from Belmont. There will then be no runs until 1505 from Gutcher and then follow Sunday timetable till 2020 from Belmont to Gutcher, which will be the last run. All bookings will be suspended.

On Monday 27th, ferry services on Bluemull Sound will operate to the Saturday timetable, with all bookings suspended. There will be a normal service from 1740, with bookings available

On Tuesday 28th, ferry services will operate to a Saturday timetable until 0840, with bookings suspended Normal service resumes at 0840, with bookings available.

Shetland Islands Council would like to apologise to passengers for these timetable alterations.
