Renewed appeal to find woman missing near Mt Wilson

Police are re-appealing for help from the public to find a woman missing in the Blue Mountains.

Marissa Gee, aged 33, was last seen at Katoomba on Friday evening (13 December 2024).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

About midday on Saturday 14 December 2024, Marissa's vehicle was located on Galwey Lane, Mt Wilson. Her tent has now been located in Cathedral Reserve camping ground but there has been no sign of Marissa and police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare due to the extreme heat in the area.

Marissa is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 167cm tall, medium build, tanned complexion, brown eyes and curly blonde/red hair.

She may be wearing hiking pants and hiking boots.

Marissa is known to frequent the Katoomba, Mt Wilson and Bilpin areas.

Local police with the assistance of Police Rescue, PolAir, NSW Ambulance Service, State Emergency Service and the Rural Fire Service are currently conducting a land search of bushland at Mt Wilson.

Anyone with information on Marissa's whereabouts is urged to call Katoomba Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
