Homicide Investigation

ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 13, 2024) - Anaheim Police Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed in a residential neighborhood.

On Monday, August 12, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., Anaheim Police Dispatch received a report of a shooting near the 900 block of N. Siesta Street. Anaheim Police officers and Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the scene and located a 26-year-old Anaheim man, Christopher Monge, unresponsive in front of a residence. Mr. Monge was suffering from several gunshot wounds. Emergency services personnel provided first aid at the scene. Mr. Monge was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives are not disclosing any additional details at this time because the investigation is ongoing.
