Press Release

On September 2, 2024, Joseph E. Millington, 34, of Diamond Point, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree and Conspiracy in the fifth degree.

On September 3, 2024, Jefferey G. Dickinson, 36, of Fort Ann, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree and Conspiracy in the fifth degree.

Also, on September 3, 2024, Jeffrey W. Fifield, 37, of Hudson Falls, NY, and Charles J. Cleveland, 30, of Greenwich, NY, were each arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree.

On September 2, 2024, the State Police of Greenwich responded to the area of New Swamp Road in Kingsbury, NY, for the report of a stolen Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV). With the assistance of the Hudson Falls Police Department, Troopers located the stolen UTV in the area of Feeder Street in Hudson Falls, NY. The investigation discovered the UTV had been reportedly brought to the location by Millington and Dickinson, where they allegedly conspired to conceal and sell it. Fifield was at the location when the stolen UTV was recovered; he was in possession of another UTV, which he claimed ownership of and had not been reported stolen.

Millington was located walking nearby and taken into custody; he was transported to SP Greenwich for processing and arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court, where he was remanded without bail to the Washington County Correctional Facility.

Dickinson was located the next day in Hudson Falls, NY, where he was taken into custody. He was transported to SP Greenwich for processing and then taken to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

During this investigation on September 2, 2024, an unrelated UTV was discovered abandoned in the area of New Swamp Rd in Kingsbury, NY. This led to a second investigation and after contacting area businesses, it was determined that two UTVs (one of which was the one found abandoned in Kingsbury) and other miscellaneous property had been stolen from the area of Quaker Ridge Boulevard in Queensbury, NY. The second stolen UTV was located with the assistance of the Hudson Falls Police Department in the area of River Street inHudson Falls, NY, and was the same UTV Fifield had been in possession of the previous day. Additional stolen property was also discovered in Fifield's home. Cleveland allegedly brought the UTV and other stolen items to the location on September 1, 2024.

Fifield and Cleveland were arrested at the location and transported to SP Greenwich for processing. Both were then brought to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

In partnership with the Hudson Falls Police Department, three UTVs and multiple other stolen items were recovered. The total value of the recovered property is more than $60,000.
