Resurfacing Project Continues on Route 220 SB in Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a roadway resurfacing project continues on Route 220 southbound in Porter, Piatt, and Pine Creek townships in Lycoming County.

Resurfacing Project
The contractor will continue guide rail upgrades, shoulder backup, and crossover paving between the Main St. Jersey Shore exit ramp and the Route 44 interchange in Porter Township.

Traffic Impacts

  • Motorists traveling Route 220 southbound can expect the right (driving) lane to be restricted between the Main St. Jersey Shore exit ramp and Route 44 interchange in Porter Township. Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution.

HRI Inc. is the prime contractor for this $3,192,000 resurfacing project. Work includes milling and resurfacing of over four miles of Route 220 southbound between the Route 287 in Piatt Township and Pine Creek in Pine Creek Township, Clinton County, including resurfacing the ramps at the Route 220/Route 44 interchange (Main Street) and Thomas Street interchange (Route 3027) in Jersey Shore Borough. Additional work includes drainage upgrades, sawing and sealing of asphalt, bridge preservation on several structures, guiderail and concrete barrier upgrades, line painting, and traffic delineators. Work on this project is expected to be completed in September of 2024.
