Hit and Run Leaves One Severely Injured NR24259dc

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division is asking for the public's assistance in locating the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left one person with severe injuries.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, at 5:54 p.m., a black Hyundai Sedan was traveling westbound Ventura Blvd negotiating a left turn onto Costello Avenue. Simultaneously, a pedestrian was crossing in a marked crosswalk and was struck by the Hyundai. The driver of the black Hyundai failed to stop, identify themselves, and/or render aid to the injured person and fled the scene southbound Costello Avenue and westbound Davana Terrance.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the severely injured 63-year-old female to a local hospital for medical treatment.


SUSPECT VEHICLE: black Hyundai, 4-door, Tinted windows

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
